Part 3: Better Periods
Two x one hour sessions giving students the knowledge and tools to combat period suffering, promoting healthy hormone balance for better physical and mental health outcomes.
Content includes:
Understanding the emotional, physical and behavioural changes during the menstrual cycle
Why hormones aren’t the enemy – how to work with them
Nutrition and lifestyle tips for hormone health and period symptoms
Cycle tracking and period apps
Common teen period irregularities – pain, heavy bleeding, irregular cycles
Teen reproductive health issues – Endometriosis and Polycystic ovarian syndrome
When and where to seek help for period problems
Sustainable periods: reusable period products discussed and demonstrated
